Gary D. Baty

Gary Baty is the Vice President of Human Resources for EMC Corporation in the Asia Pacific & Japan region. Directly responsible for the overall HR direction and strategy, Mr. Baty leads a team of experienced HR executives focused on EMC's business across existing, new and developing markets. Mr. Baty leads HR processes, strategies and tactical execution, to ensure EMC retains, attracts and develops a high-performing team. In addition, he and his team are focused on building a trusted business relationship with the employees and management of the company. Mr. Baty joined EMC in June 2006 with more than 30 years of HR expertise in US and international management executive positions.

Prior to joining EMC, Mr. Baty led the HR team in APJ for Symantec/VERITAS Software/Symantec Incorporated. He held senior management positions with the Verifone Division of Hewlett Packard, including VP and General Manager of Asia Pacific and global VP of HR for Verifone Incorporated. Mr. Baty also held a number of US and international management positions with Tandem, including the strategic and tactical planning for establishing Tandem's Asia-Pacific Division. Earlier in his career, Mr. Baty held a number of management positions at Johnson & Johnson, Inc.

Mr. Baty is based in Singapore and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Angelo State University located in San Angelo, Texas.
